Vice President & Chief Development Officer / Foundation Exec
Shift: Day Shift
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
The Chief Development Officer & Foundation Executive Director provides overall McLaren Northern Michigan philanthropic activity leadership and management of the McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation. This position reports to the President / Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Northern Michigan and is also responsible to the McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation Board of Directors.
Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business or related discipline highly desirable.
Experience: Considerable experience (minimum seven years) in fund raising, preferably in a health care organization with a comprehensive development program is required.
Other Job Requirements: Knowledge of planned giving programs is highly desirable. Proven success in gift closure at the six-and seven-figure level is expected. Willingness to make a major commitment to the Petoskey community. Demonstrated leadership ability to develop strategic plans, implement programs, organize, initiate, and motivate is required. Executive presence and demeanor.
Has insight to identify the heart of an issue; recognizes implications of alternative solutions; ability to positively impact and resolve difficult issues. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral. Outstanding inter-personal skills.
